  • No grammar or writing mechanics

  • Free writing, mind mapping, drawing/sketching

Writing

  • Pull everything together

  • Incorporate pre-writing material

  • Rough draft with gaps and annotations

  • Focus on logical flow

  • Whole structure, main story, end point

Revision

  • Revise— move things around

  • Edit— grammar and mechanics

  • Proofread— get into the editor state
